Organisers of workplace events should produce a glamorous floral farewell for a corporate guest. Jane Packer has designed the perfect presentation bouquet for a VIP.
In-house ceremonies at your workplace for a VIP require sparkle. The organiser of such a mini-ceremony cannot overlook the quality of a presentation bouquet. A Jane-Packer design for a glamorous white rose posy will add gloss to the farewell event.
The presentation of a flower bouquet to a VIP is an important symbol in the proceedings of a mini-ceremony at a workplace. The quality of the flowers, the design and the guest’s reaction is the bridge between the vote of gratitude speech of the CEO of the workplace and the farewell speech by the VIP.
To ensure a smooth transition, the bouquet should be of a manageable size to store away in-house without damage and be a visual splendour and an enchanting gift to the VIP to take away with them on their travels.
A professional florist - in their design of a presentation bouquet for a VIP - may be inspired to select the colour of the flowers for the presentation bouquet to match the corporate identity or the VIP’s favourite flower/s if this is known to the workplace. An organiser is invited to consider the design for the perfect presentation bouquet for a VIP featured in World Flowers: Inspiring Floral Creations From Around the World by Jane Packer (Conran Octopus Ltd 2003).
In World Flowers, Jane Packer features the artistic design and floristry craft of producing the perfect presentation bouquet for a VIP. White roses, tightly in bud and on long stems are selected as the bouquet flower. A rose bud on a long stem is considered sophisticated and glamorous while the open rose as a cut flower evokes the charm of a cottage garden.
Possibly 20 roses form the mass of tight rose buds that are spiralled into a dome shape. Jane Packer – who this week is exhibiting floristry artwork at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Royal Hospital, Chelsea, London SW3 – sets out her description of producing the perfect presentation bouquet in World Flowers as: “You need to hold the first rose upright and wrap string around the binding point. Add the second stem at a slight angle and bind that in position. Rotate the bunch in your hand as you continue to add more stems”.
Pure glamour of the whiteness of the higher rose buds in the spiralled mass are highlighted with accents of iridescent glitter and square-cut diamante stones. Dusting of iridescent acrylic glitter is fixed by glue brushed onto some of the rose buds and wires can hold the diamante stones against the flower stem binding.
The VIP presentation bouquet is finished with the hiding of the binding point of the spiralled stems with a covering of white satin broad ribbon tied into a double bow.
The organiser of an in-house ceremony at their workplace for a VIP needs to include the right bouquet for the farewell presentation.
